Have you ever wondered if there is any historical basis to the stories of King Arthur? Or wanted to know more about some of the elements from Arthurian legend, like the quest for the Holy Grail or the Knights of the Round Table?

With a lifelong passion for learning about the past, I enjoy researching historical topics. Of special interest to me is where history meets mythology, including the stories of King Arthur, the text of Beowulf, the myths of the Norse gods, and more.

My intent is to educate and inspire others by sharing my findings from my research.

As an independent researcher and amateur historian, I have a proven track record for being able to explore historical topics with unique insights and connections. My research on the coat of arms and styling used by my ancestor, Sir John Stewart, a Scottish knight who was killed at the Battle of Falkirk in 1298, overturns errors which have been propagated by heraldists and historians for over 300 years. These findings were reviewed and corroborated by the leading scholars on Scottish medieval heraldry from The Heraldry Society of Scotland. This led me to co-author an article entitled “The Buckle in Heraldry” with the editor of “The Coat of Arms,” the academic journal of The Heraldry Society, which was published in 2023 in Series 4 Volume 6 Number 240.

I received my Bachelor and MBA degrees from Brigham Young University.
